Role:
Overview & Key Responsibilities
A key member of the leadership team, s/he/they will be responsible for overall projects monitoring & evaluation framework of Nasscom Foundation. Broad structure of responsibilities :-
Impact Strategy Development
• Lead the development of the organization’s impact measurement strategy in alignment with its mission and programmatic goals.
• Ensure the integration of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks into all stages of project planning, execution, and assessment.
• Work closely with senior leadership to articulate impact goals and KPIs for ongoing and future projects.
• Work towards building and strengthening the theory of change for all the program verticals.
Measurement Studies Execution and Oversight
• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of robust MEL systems to track program performance and assess outcomes.
• Ensure data collection processes are rigorous, and reliable across all measurement projects
• Work towards building and strengthening organizational data collection processes
• Develop and manage data collection tools (surveys, focus group guides, etc.) that align with program objectives and stakeholder needs.
• Conduct and oversee data analysis, ensuring the extraction of actionable insights that inform program strategy and project improvement.
• Develop and manage high-quality reports and presentations that communicate impact, results, and recommendations to key internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead regular progress reviews and ensure that all projects are on track to meet their intended outcomes.
• Provide constructive feedback to teams on deliverables, and ensure that necessary revisions are completed in a timely manner.
Review and Validation
• Lead the review and validation of all project deliverables, ensuring they meet both internal quality standards and external requirements set by funding partners and other stakeholders
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure that final outputs—reports, presentations, and other deliverables—are complete, accurate, and aligned with project goals and impact.
• Implement a process for periodic internal review of deliverables and visualize / create a dashboard for the CEO and the board
Stakeholder Engagement and Capacity Building
• Build a healthy network and maintain relationships with measurement agencies and subject matter experts in social impact sector
• Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to project teams to improve their MEL practices.
• Ensure alignment between MEL systems and donor requirements, including meeting reporting timelines and deliverables.
Continuous Learning and Innovation
• Foster a culture of learning within the organization by encouraging reflection, adapting to new insights, and improving programs based on evidence.
• Stay updated on trends and best practices in impact measurement, evaluation methodologies, and technology to continuously improve the organization’s MEL approach.
Key Requirements
o Graduate or postgraduate with 15+ years of post-qualification work experience in the development sector.
o Should have minimum 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation.
o Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
o Should able to manage large-scale MIS with accuracy and precision.
o Strong analytical skills.
o Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong networks.
o Self-confidence combined with openness to learning and applying new skills and concepts.
o Ability to understand new technology and concepts.
o Drive the NF’s vision and shape the direction of foundation on the same & sector know-how.
o We need change markers to drive our inclusive tech agenda.
